Beautiful Stacy. I think you'd get a laugh at my recent post - also a contemplation of time at various life stages.

Another evocative story that I'll be pondering for the next while...thanks for sharing it. While walking the dog the other evening, I thought that the past (light from all those stars) is actually above us, which messed with my sensibilities for a minute. I love that we were playing with a similar idea!

Yessssss, I love that disorienting fact! I marvel often that physicists and such are able to get out of bed, make a meal, and deal with any daily ordinariness at all, with the truth of all the Unknowabilities flying around their brains. How???

LOVE how you summed up your relationship with time. And I remember hearing your big plans for being a magazine editor back in the day with awe and envy. I didn’t know you could just share your goals like that. I was always so afraid to live out loud. What I mean to say is: you inspired me then and you inspire me now. Is that a flat circle?

Beautifully said (and also kind, thank you). I suppose it IS a flat circle and I truly love the overlaps and ebbs and flows of life. Sharing space and words with you here on Substack is a definite pleasure.

I love this so much and truly needed to read it, right now. Moments on a viewfinder will be an image I hold onto for quite some time.

Thank you, Angela. So nice to see you! We could have a very long talk about staring at blank screens......... it's been a journey for me to come back to thinking I had something to say. <3

Hello, friend. That means a lot. Weirdly, I have re-read it a few times myself to try to really take in what I was saying. Hugs to you. xo
